About Timer
A simple countdown timer for classrooms, workouts, cooking, board games, and breaks. Tap a preset to start right away, or set any time you like. When time's up, it plays an alarm, flashes the screen, and vibrates on phones that support it. Fullscreen makes the time big enough for a whole room to see. Everything stays on your device, and nothing is sent anywhere.
FAQ
Will the alarm ring if my phone locks?
Keep the timer on screen. While it runs, the app keeps your screen on so the alarm can play. A web page can't ring while the phone is locked or the app is closed, but the timer still keeps time: when you come back, it shows how long ago time ran out.
Why don't I hear the alarm on my iPhone?
On iPhone, web sounds follow the silent switch. Turn silent mode off and turn the volume up. You can check it with "Test alarm" under "My presets & sound".
Can I show the timer to a whole class?
Yes. Tap Fullscreen for huge digits and a progress bar, with Start, Pause and Reset still at hand. Press Esc or tap "Exit fullscreen" to go back.
Can I save my own times?
Yes. Set a time, open "My presets & sound", add a label if you like, and tap "Save preset". It appears next to the built-in buttons at the top.
Can I put it on my home screen?
Yes. On iPhone, open this page in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu, then Add to Home screen (or Install app). It then opens like a regular app and works offline.
